Christian County teen charged with sodomy

A 17-year-old from Christian County has been charged with statutory sodomy after authorities say he had a girl under the age of 12 touch him in a sexual manner.

Officials say Shaun Budd was charged Thursday after the victim told her mother that Budd had her touch his “nu-nu” while they were together in a bedroom watching cartoons on Wednesday.

In a later interview with officials, Budd said he had been watching cartoons with the victim when he adjusted his shorts and his penis fell out. He asked the victim to touch it, which she did.

If convicted, Budd could face a minimum sentence of ten years, and would be subject to lifetime supervision through electronic monitoring.

Budd’s bond was set at $20,000. He does not currently have a lawyer listed in online court documents.
