Two Missourians are among the 312 deceased Vietnam War veterans who will be honored during a ceremony next month in Washington, D.C.

Gary Klingel, a Marine from Sikeston, and Dennis Reinhold, a Marine from St. Louis, will be inducted into the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund's In Memory program, according to a news release.

The In Memory program honors Vietnam veterans whose lives were cut short because of their service but are not eligible for inscription on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.

Klingel, who died in 2014, and Reinhold, who died in 2015, will be honored during a ceremony on June 18 at the East Knoll of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, according to the release.

During the ceremony, the release says, certificates with the names of the honorees will be placed at the wall and then collected by the National Park Service to be stored in a permanent archive.
