Giants manager Bruce Bochy, on reliever Hunter Strickland, who mouthed something to the Royals' Salvador Perez: "You know, he's a really intense kid. History: This marks the 57th time that the World Series has been tied 1-1. Of the previous 56 times, the winner of Game 2 has gone on to win the series 29 times (51.8 percent). However, that has been the case on only two occasions since 1993 – the Angels of 2002 and the Yankees of 2009, according to Major League Baseball.
