Forrest J. Lair, 31, was charged Thursday with statutory rape and three counts of statutory sodomy after police say he gave at least one girl alcohol and then assaulted her while she was incapacitated.

According to a probable cause statement from the Springfield Police Department, two girls reported being sexually assaulted by Lair in separate incidents this year.

The statement says one girl told investigators she drank alcohol at Lair's home with him and a few other people. She said she got sick from the alcohol, threw up and went to bed.

The girl told investigators she woke up that night to what felt like someone having sex with her, according to the statement.

The same girl allegedly described a second incident in which she consumed alcohol at Lair's house, went to sleep and then woke up to him pulling her pants down.

Another girl reported that during a sleepover at Lair's Springfield residence, he came into the room while she was asleep and sexually abused her, according to the statement.

A bond recommendation document says Lair also has a pending domestic assault case.

Online records indicate prosecutors have requested a warrant be issued for Lair's arrest. He does not have an attorney listed for this case.
