A Pulaski County jailer has been accused of having a sexual relationship with one of the two inmates who escaped from the jail over the weekend.

Angelica Black, 22, who works at the Pulaski County Jail, was charged Sunday with sexual contact with a prisoner by an employee of a jail following accusations that she had a relationship with Dustin Richardson — one of two inmates who escaped from the jail early Sunday morning, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.

The news release says investigators are working to determine whether Black helped Richardson and James Randall "J.R." Sherrell escape from the jail.

Sherrell was taken into custody on Monday after being apprehended in a rural home 5 miles west of the town of Crocker, according to a release from Sheriff Ron Long.

As of Monday night, Richardson had not been arrested.

Records indicate Black is now being held as an inmate at the Pulaski County Jail. She does not have an attorney listed for this case.

The news release from the sheriff's department also names another woman who is accused of helping the escaped inmates.

The release says a deputy spotted Marlee N. Davy, 21, driving Richardson and Sherrell in her vehicle on Sunday.

Davy is accused of leading the deputy on a high-speed chase from Crocker through northern Pulaski County and into southern Miller County. The release says the suspects got away after the deputy's vehicle had a tire blowout.

The suspects were last seen north of Richland in a red Chevrolet Suburban, according to the release.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department at 573-774-6169 or dial 911.

Sheriff Ron Long said in a news release Sunday that the inmates requested a medical check just after 1 a.m., then they stole the jailer's keys and fled the facility.

Sherrell, 32, is described as a white man who is 5-foot-6, 120 pounds with short brown hair, green eyes and multiple tattoos. The release says he was being held on suspicion of drug possession and interfering with an arrest.

Richardson, 27, is described as a white man who is 5-foot-11, 180 pounds with short brown hair, brown eyes and multiple tattoos. The release says he was being held on suspicion of first-degree child molestation.
