The 15th Annual DogFest is coming to southwest Springfield on Saturday.

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board, in partnership with Cruse Dog Park, hosts DogFest at Chesterfield Park, 2511 W. Republic Road. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and admission is free.

Everyone, including the family dog, is invited (please have dogs on leashes). The day will include demonstrations of dog skills and training, plus tips from veterinarians and a canine fashion show. DogFest will also feature dozens of pet-related vendors and nonprofit groups. A drawing for a free pet microchipping takes place every hour, and discount microchipping will be offered on-site at the event, according to a park board news release.

Bring your well-dressed pooches to DogFest on Saturday.

A bounce house will be available for kids, $1 admission. Event T-shirts will be sold for $10, with proceeds benefitting Cruse Dog Park, Springfield’s first off-leash dog park. Concessions will be available.

DogFest is sponsored by PetsWay, TAME Pet Magazine and Deerfield Veterinary.
